# Terms of Use

## Agreement

These terms are between you and **Tall Timbers Group LLC** (Minnesota, USA), the operator of VolunteerReminder. Using the service means you agree to them.

## The service

VolunteerReminder sends scheduled volunteer shift reminders by email and text (SMS). You enter the roster and schedule; we send the reminders. Current plans and prices are on [Pricing](/pricing). Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial — no credit card required. You can cancel or pause anytime.

## Your account

You must be able to act for the organization you sign up. Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on the account, including anything an API key or a connected assistant does after you grant access.

## Permission to contact volunteers

You confirm you have permission to email and text everyone you add. Do not use VolunteerReminder to spam, harass, or send messages those people did not agree to receive. We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the service or that we reasonably believe is breaking carrier or anti-spam rules.

## Delivery

We send reminders through Postmark (email) and Twilio (SMS). Carriers and inbox providers are outside our control. We work to send what you scheduled. We cannot promise every message will arrive, or arrive at a particular minute.

## Payment

Paid plans are billed in USD through Stripe, monthly or annually as you choose. If a renewal payment fails, we keep service on for a grace period and then turn it off if the invoice stays unpaid. Cancel anytime; you keep access through the period you already paid.

## Closing an account

We may close an account that is unpaid, unused after we try to reach you, or used in a way that breaks these terms. Email [info@volunteerreminder.com](mailto:info@volunteerreminder.com) if you want the account deleted.

## If something goes wrong

We work to keep VolunteerReminder running. We are not responsible for a missed shift, a dropped text, or other problems we cannot reasonably control. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for the service. This does not limit liability that Minnesota law does not let us limit.

## Minnesota law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA. If we end up in court, it will be in Minnesota.

## Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top is the last update. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be posted on this page.
