Volunteer Scheduler Pro is a real volunteer scheduler for organizations — schools, churches, civic groups, museums, clinics, and the rest of the list on their homepage. Same Rotunda family as Ministry Scheduler Pro. If an organization needs the sign-in kiosk, job folders, group scheduling, or a full volunteer scheduler, stay on it. VolunteerReminder is not that.
At up to 100 volunteers, Lite is $45/month and Standard is $70/month. The monthly fee depends on edition and volunteer count. Their dropdown, labeled "Show pricing for," runs in 100-volunteer bands from up to 100 through up to 2,000. Those two prices are the ones on the default setting. Optional SMS is $0.02 per text message sent or received. Both directions bill. A reminder plus a YES reply is two charges. Texting is available in the U.S. and Canada only. Lite vs Standard
Lite is the scheduler: flexible scheduling tools, mobile and web based scheduling, online access for volunteers, sub requests, automatic reminders, service notes and resources, and text messages.
Standard is Lite plus online access for leaders, custom fields, a sign-in kiosk, job folders, group scheduling, and disaster recovery. Their subscribe page calls the kiosk and custom fields the Standard extras that matter.
SMS is extra on both. No setup charges. Unlimited email and phone support is included. The minimum subscription is 3 months. Dormant volunteers — not scheduled and no profile changes in 3 months — are not counted in the fee, but they can still sign in, review the schedule, and get emails and texts. Upgrade or expand anytime. Downgrade before renewal by contacting them.
Deluxe and Pro
Deluxe is $9 a month (pricing). That covers scheduled reminders for up to 60 volunteers, two texts per shift. It is not a bulk-text plan. If the organization needs to text a large roster often, VSP's meter or a real SMS tool is the honest answer. Normal reminder volume is what the $9 plan is built for.
Pro is $19, up to 150 volunteers, and adds a third reminder plus a substitute finder that texts a small batch at a time (default 10), first YES wins, then the next batch, not the whole roster. YES/NO confirm is optional.
